Diwali, the festival of lights, stands as India's grandest and most significant annual celebration, that spans over several days of festivities. Diwali embodies the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, wisdom over ignorance, and optimism over desolation—principles that lie at the heart of Hinduism and my family's cherished beliefs.

Growing up, Diwali was synonymous with celebrating with our extended family, new clothes, lots of lights everywhere and above all, flower decorations and rangolis, a delightful abundance of food. I cherish the recollections of indulging in a wide array of Diwali sweets and delicacies, often starting a week or two ahead of the festivities.
Back at home, some of the things were homemade and some were bought from the best local stores. Since we do not have access to local halwaais (sweet mongers) and bhujiya bhandaars (savory snack markets), everything has to be homemade and I absolutely love that!
Here is a collection of my Diwali recipes that I have developed over the years and shared with friends and family and are super loved.
