One of the greatest summer time sweet treats is this Strawberries and Cream combination. A no cook, 4-ingredient recipe that elevates a summer favorite fruit to a dessert that's fit to be served at great occasions (Wimbledon, for example!).
Whip the chilled heavy cream in the bowl of your stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment (see notes) for about a minute.
When it starts to thicken, add the confectioner's (powdered) sugar and vanilla extract (if using) and continue to whisk until firm.
Serve immediately with strawberries.
Notes
This recipe does not include time for hulling the strawberries.If you don't have a stand mixer, you can use an electric hand mixer or a regular whisk. If you whisk the cream with a hand whisk it will take longer to firm up.
