My thoughts

In today’s post I share my thoughts on the book and the eating plan. I have to say…what an eye-opener. The book does a great job in explaining the science behind the late evening/night snacking. And not just any snacking – think about a choice between metabolism boosting, protein rich and sleep-inducing foods. Author Joel Marion explains ” Late-night eating also curbs calorie intake the next day. In a four-week study, dieters added a snack to their daily regimen 90 minutes after dinner every night, and check this out: late-night eaters ate an average of 397 fewer calories per day.”  

Lemon water

One of the simplest 3-Minute Fat-Burning Morning Rituals, lemon water is a glass of water mixed with the juice of one half of a lemon. This drink provides all the benefits of regular drinking water, which supports weight loss, digestive health, physical performance, and cognitive function.” I have had lemon water off and on a couple of times in the past years. This is because I never really understood the science behind it. After reading the benefits of drinking lemon water first thing in morning, I am sticking to this morning ritual. The most challenging times to curb hunger are just before bed and in the morning.

By following the Always Eat After 7PM program, you have the most willpower to stay on the diet because you are eating during the hours when you are most hungry. This also puts you into both intermittent fasting increasing testosterone and your metabolism, while putting you into ketosis.

Overall Hydration

Even drinking water throughout the date has been a big energy booster for me. I stay hydrated and fresh. It is through water that hormones flow to the proper organs, that nutrients reach all cells, and that toxins are diluted and removed from the body.”
