As I mentioned here, we eat late, usually around 7:30 or 8 PM and I have always felt comfortable with this choice for myself and for our family. This book talks in detail about why this approach might work for you. As author Joel Marion discusses in the book, you are, in a way, practicing intermittent fasting. Intermittent fasting means going without food for longer than 14 hours or overnight. So if you eat dinner at 8, you eat a late breakfast or brunch around noon. This, by the way, is perfect practice for these quarantine times, since I am anyways not up early. When I wake up, I workout, then check my emails and prepare myself a smoothie with two scoops of my favorite vegan protein powder. This keeps me pretty full until the rest of the family is ready for lunch.

Question: What inspired you to write the book?
After authoring 6 best selling books it was glaringly obvious there were 2 huge misconceptions about dieting that needed to be exposed. The first is that you can’t eat late at night or before bed, which science now shows is NOT true. And second, you can’t eat large portions that satisfy your natural instinct. This book solves both these problems by providing an evidence-based, enjoyable approach to dieting that can be used by any person to quickly achieve their weight loss goals.
Question: How long did it take for you to develop the diet?
It actually took several years of researching for me to discover the real science of eating late night. After a few years of tweaking and refining, I finally came up with a rapid fat loss solution that overcomes all the pitfalls of traditional diets.
Question: How difficult is the Always Eat After 7 PM plan to follow?
